Pay-per-click ads are often popular because they catch people in the final stage of the buying cycle. In addition, social media and email lists are also popular cause they can do the same thing. However, those two method takes more time, though they may cost less money. Finally, cookies are used in affiliate programs because people don't buy on the 1st try. However, how effective are these cookies?
Note that these were not for affiliate programs but since early this year, I have tried remarketing with cookies via AdRoll and Google. Both were B2B companies. The results were only okay, nothing super impressive. But it has been enough that I am continuing with the Google campaign to see how it goes in the months ahead.
Possibly some results can be gained before the last stage of the buying cycles, maybe even on the first go around. However, it will be far less than at the last stage.
Hi: Cookies can be used at any stage of your marketing efforts. Some cookies last longer than others and some will be deleted by the computer owner or software as often as daily. Your best bet is to try to get an email address and start communicating with your prospects on a regular basis. Good luck, Dan
