    Buyer beware.

Theme isn't custom. It's a rip-off from the custom theme exclusive on http://www.forumadvertiser.com

This is FA's category header: http://forumadvertiser.com/styles/ForumAdvertiser/theme/images/cat-header.jpg

This is his category header: http://islandforum.net/images/island/thead.gif

You can literally copy his, and place it right over the one on FA, and it'll fit in perfectly. Notice how both are 35 pixels high too!

Also, notice the bottom of the last board in each category:

A theme can't be called custom if you've ripped off from another design.

I would be very cautious when dealing with this user, as he might've copied off content another forum too. It's no wonder why this auction is so short.

sorry but i need to disagree with the above assesment. Sure it may not be 100% unique, but then again I bet you have a website with a top nav or a side nav.. oh no not 100% unique there are you?

The point is that designers all use the same elements, same software and same brush styles so on some level many websites are going to share commonalities. The point here is that the look and feel is custom and trying to compare the two sites you listed is just a joke.

Do I anticipate a super custom job for $8... no. Anyone who does is an idiot. My bid is based on the future value of the site if it can be maintained.

    You're wrong.

A theme is not custom if it has 100% copied images from another theme, which has been proven above. Yes, it can be similar, but if the exact image has been copied, then it is not custom.

taht is not the exact image... different sizes. besides it's a green marque. how many green marques can be made? how many sizes? at some point you cross the threshold of ridiculousity.

but i do applaud you on trying to keep people honest.

here let me show you why you look stupid here.

This image is a static size: http://forumadvertiser.com/styles/ForumAdvertiser/theme/images/cat-header.jpg
this image is tiled in: http://islandforum.net/images/island/thead.gif

done, that there is unique compared to each other. did he have any inspiration from another forum layout? probably. I am guessing conservatively that about 1,000 forum layouts use a green top and grayish bottom like that. Your complaint is completely invalid and doesn't pass any sort of copyright complaint test.

I thank god you dont run the art world "im sorry you cant draw circles anymore that has been copied"

    seriously?

Thank you Dragons5 and GaGuy if you would gladly leave me and my forum alone that would be fantastic! You don't even own the board anymore!

You clearly don't know what you're talking about.

Take his static image, and stretch it out. Do it in Paint. It's the exact same as the one on ForumAdvertiser. Like I posted before, you can literally copy the image, and place it right over. It's a perfect fit, hence the same 35 pixels height aswell. He obviously just took a small portion of FA's image and claimed it as his own. He doesn't have to use the same width as mine, because his image gets repeated over and over. You must be a fool for not seeing that.

Really? Show me some themes that have the exact same category header, tfoot header, and window background image as the ones that these two forums have. Yes, green over black may be common, but looking identically the same, is NOT.

Because what I'm saying is the truth, right? To say that he didn't rip off the skin is absurd.

I'm a community administrator myself, and flaming wasn't not included in any of my posts. Flaming includes bashing and insulting other users, which is what I have not done. Do you not find it suspicious that he immediately closed this thread and started another after I spat out the truth?

That has nothing to do with me closing the thread, I closed this thread because I messed up with monthly unique and total page views -.-

Yet you created another thread here with basically the same stats? And then proceeded to close it down after I revealed the truth again.
