It's good stuff. I love the idea of elance and similar places. Never heard of RAC before but it's good to see another one I could add to my bookmarks. :)

The services and tools at our desposal at webmasters now is unbelievable.

Need a little program doing? Artwork? Writing? Big or small projects? No biggy, it's all on the net. Amazing stuff really.. and still not many are taking full advantage.... I know I aren't.

There's alsorts I'd like to get into once I have the extra money to throw about experimenting, and those elancers will be central to them all.

    Outsource, outsource, outsource.

Got an idea for a program?

    Contract a programmer
Contract a lancer to provide support
Contract a lancer for marketing and pr

    Yadda yadda.

I tell ye. There's too many fucking oppertunities on the Internet these days. It's like being in a candy store, and unfortunately I dont have the money to indulge just yet.

    All in good time. :)

    Pete

I have tried this but bidding is very competetive. Its quite tough when boils down to few dollar.

Sorry, I thought what I'm gonna find inside this thread is economics' concept of "invisible economy". Women working inside the house, taking care of the kids and doing all the household chores while the husband is at work. The invisible economy that is mostly neglected or given less credit by the male dominated society.
