You know for only being 15 you make some interesting points and have a very advanced thought process for your age. I'm sure someone will come along and say this is a spam thread but whether that is the case or not it is worth the read in my opinion. Thanks for posting.

Great article, there will be significantly more sites on the internet in 2020 that's for sure,
but how will that change things for us?

Although very true and it brought a good point, I have a counter arguement.

.com domains are like plastic. There may be some plastic bottles that you really like and will keep for years. However, the rest of the plastic bottles you will probably throw in the recycling bin to recycle. There's no point in collecting all the plastic bottles in the world so that they will be worth more when the world starts lacking materials and can no longer make plastic.

Similarly, a huge percentage of .com domains out there are bought, but they have nothing on them. The owners will probably get tired of them and eventually let it go. Yes, domains are getting rarer by the moment, but once it reaches a certain point, it will stop and there will be a cycle.

Think about it. Corporations may fall. Websites may fall. People die. Things move on. Same with domains. Do you think Facebook.com will be popular in 50 years?

In 50 years, they might not even use domains anymore. They might use a new system altogether.

It's too hard to predict that far ahead. Think of how far the internet has come in the last few years.

I believe there will be some thing new other then the old "internet" we will be going into sites "virtually" it will be some thing like "virtuenet" i think so ..
The technology was shown in the cartoon "johny quest"
And it will be more entertaining if you can virtually go into the places, sites, stores, stadiums, clubs, virtually rather then viewing the contents on the screen.
I hope we get "VirtueNet" by 2020 !
