I have been keeping a close eye on things they are trying to do to the internet. I'm personal starting to think they are trying to change it into something like cabal. Your going to be paying for the websites you go to something like a channels. For example cnn.com will become a paid subscription, just like a news paper. Only major companies will be on the internet. The us government have been getting a lot o breaches to there systems lately. I personal think that if they can push it as a huge national security issues, by saying our current internet is un-stable, they might be able to pull off "this" new internet Here is something more recent I found. Source: http://blogs.zdnet.com/BTL/?p=19552&tag=nl.e539 I hope I'm wrong with all this.
I am hoping you're wrong as well. The whole world will be bored as all holy heck if this becomes true. No one will pay for sites per visit, or subscription!
Yeah...after reading that I was just thinking "...Please no?" Don't even know where to begin with the problems that can circulate from having a subscription internet service; not just the problems with having to pay to access content, but the fact there are so many freaking sites currently and popping up that indexing all of them under a subscription takes time. It all seems very jumbled; things are going to change, sure (TLDs for one), but having a blanket charge to access sites is not plausible....I hope.
I do not understand what is so big deal about it? We already pay for using services of a good website and there are many many websites working on pay-as-you-use model. The above quoted statement is exactly how we operate as of now. What is the surprising aspect...I don't get it? Regards, RightMan
This won't happen, internet is community in real sense to implement this lots of things have to passed and opinion of major countries has to be taken.... nice thread dude u deserve +1 rep.
