I'd agree there, if I was earning that much I'd have much better things to do than trying to convince other people Im great... such as actually enjoying the money :D

Er, I think you forgot to add the Google CEO's themselves. The ultimate whores...

What you also must remember people is that it's revenue... Not profit. I wonder how much of those figures were used on advertisements and trial and error stuff.

you got me thinking instead of a web site with a bunch of affiliate programs i
could have one that offers free goods and services to attract more visitors
and in turn get more paid clicks from the service that i use.

indeed. If you think about it, free stuff attracts people. Look at google - a useful free service. Word got out and it got a steady userbase. Then it all snowballed from there as the average joe finally discovered it.

that plentyoffish site also operates on that policy. Free stuff attracts people, the more people come to your site, the more exposure your ads get :D

It's amazing to see checks like that being sent out. I'm definitely not near that range, but I find AdSense works well. Maybe someday... :p

I'll be Google's whore for checks like those.

(But I prefer the term 'gentleman of the evening'.)

how on earth did that plenty of fish guy get traffic to his personals site?

    just by word of mouth?

it must be hard to get traffic to a personals site from day one... because everything is empty..

    Ahem, fake profiles.

Or when you start out, just don't allow people to view other people's profiles until they sign up. Put like 5 "teaser" profiles on the homepage, and in order for the person to view them, they have to sign up and add their profile.

Once you build it big enough, then you can open it up completely.

Give me a break with that list. The 8th highest earner is only earning $10K per month?? It seems you just found a couple guys who are making good money and put together a list. Might as well call it 8 successful publishers rather than the Top 8. What a joke.

Very, Very , Very true. In fact, JenStar's website get's a ton of visit as well, and I'm sure she lives off of just that.

Not to mention my sites as well.
