Google suddenly mailed everyone in India and put up a post in its adsense blog saying that there will be no direct DHL delivery in India, and all deliveries will be made through Blue Dart couriers only. Its good for the people who were receiving their cheques through regular post, and, though most don't agree with me, I guess it should be even better for people who used to receive it through DHL. I guess a Huge packet that contains all cheques for Indian publishers is being sent to a Blue Dart office in India from where it is going to be distributed, and so I expect it to be delivered 1 or 2 days later than the date DHL used to deliver. Well, we have to wait and watch, and its going to be thrilling. Track your Blue Dart Shipments here, post updates, and responses to communications with Blue Dart.
Cheques will be printed at Google's Hyderabad office and mailed via BlueDart Courier . Expect delays in delivery though the payment process remains the same. Unlike cheque getting printed in Ireland, it will be printed here in India itself. The only thing thatz gona take time is despatch and mailing. I dont consider BlueDart that efficient.
Cheques are printed by Citibank itself right? Google orders the cheques with citibank, and citibank prints the cheque and mails it to us. Google prints only the USD cheques in their office I guess. Sorry if Im wrong. Anyways we'll all be enlightened in about a week from now. Here at Pondicherry, I have always received deliveries through Blue Dart since DHL doesnt deliver directly here, and I haven't really faced any problems. And as I had said in one of my earlier threads, Blue Dart delivers my credit cards all the time I block and request reissue of cards with new numbers quite often to open multiple paypals and stuff, and Blue Dart has been quite good. No delays.
Google prints the cheque. They take blank cheques from Citibank and then print them in their own complex. This can be proved by looking at the way your cheque arrives. Google attaches the earning statment along with the cheque right on the same sheet of paper. One has to fetch the cheque from that sheet. As per Google's Privacy policy it does not share our data (address ,phone number etc) with any third party. So as a whole, the cheques get printed in Google's own office and the shippers pick them up from there.
have a look at this thread http://www.google.com/support/forum/p/AdSense/thread?tid=3e844c08293ed258&hl=en , see ppl complaining abt bluedart and they say that the cheque was depatched from google hyderabad
just as in DHL where you used your payment id to track your shipment, you should be able to do the same in Blue Dart too. Just wait till monday, and we'll all find out.
