I'm a proud citizen of Republic of Turkey. Ottomans did some things I don't approve so I can't say I respect them as much as most Turkish people do (I'm a liberal), although I have great respect to them. But then again, when someone talks nonsense about Ottomans, and talks of completely inaccurate things, I of course will defend Ottomans.

See "It was succeeded by the Republic of Turkey, which was officially proclaimed in 1923." Get what it means? It means anything happened before 1923 was completely Ottomans' politics' results and puts me under responsibility in NO way. Ottoman Empire and Turkey are two way too different things.

And also, no Ottoman Empire was not "Turkish", again, learn to understand what you read "The Ottoman Empire was a multi-ethnic and multi-religious Turkish-ruled state."

 

Nobody is discriminating Serbs in Kosovo.

If you have heard on the news , PM of Kosovo gave to a Serbian family some donations in order to improve their way of living and they thanked him

Im not saying that he has done a lot for them but at least he is taking them in consideration

 

Anyhow, Leet. Everyone knows that the Ottomans are Turkish, otherwise where would "the proclaimed in 1923 Republic of Turkey" come from?

Its just as it was Soviet Union and now its is Russia, same damn thing, just playing with different words.

Hello guys a few Updates to the Topic

UN meeting on behalf of Kosovo, Serbian Prez Tadic stated that he is not accepting indipendences of Kosovo, Russian Federation and China Back it up.

I`ve watched it on serbian television but i must admit i have not fully seen it, just watched serbian/russian/china statement

 

I can say that Spain and Cyprus denied it too. I guess its obvious why they denied it, right? Not making it a "special situation" as EU likes to say.

What about all of those factories, airports, hospitals? What about farmers land? What about mining fields? What about schools, university? Who build that?


Half of ministers are ex terrorists. You must understand that he is PM, at first place, in a sake of peace. To convert world recognized terrorist organization known as UCK into regular army.

Do you know who is running oil business there? He. What is average salary there? And how much he own? How much own those Heroes?

Olgi,you are "news" baby. You are only feed by what you see on TV. You should live in some of the ex YU countries to understand this.
Kosovo was always part of Serbia and it always will be. This thing is going straight to war. Declaring independence by a bunch of smugglers is crazy. More crazy than this is supporting this independence by someone who has no idea what hes doing.

 

Yes speed100 , you are right , Kosovo was part of Serbia and it will always be but as an independent country now

I would strongly recommend you to read the whole history of the Balkans and with the hope that you will be able to give a better reasonable explanation to all what you write

Dude, I'm Macedonian and i know my history. You need to go to Kosovo and see what they going to do to you there. I bet you will lose your shoes in the first 10 min of your stay. (I'm serious)

I havent been in Kosovo but I know many many many from Kosovo and something like that is just a lie from your part! I have also been in Macedonia and Im not saying anything against them because its not on my nature to make up things , to lie as you are doing!

speed100 you know nothing about kosovo, its history and about their true origins. Corruptions as Olgi said is not only Kosovos problem but it is in every country. Independence was the best choice and an inevitable thing after all the tortures that the people there had to suffer.

You are funny. You think that you know things just by eating what they serve you in the news.
Why do you think it's 90% muslims in Kosovo? They all moved from Albania to Kosovo and started making 10 kids each family,but they can't even support one. They all have "big Albania" in their mind with parts of Serbia,Macedonia and Greece. This is impossible for you to swallow.

speed100, I don't know what kind of history have you learned, but Kosovo is populated by ETHNIC ALBANIANS since ancient times(one of the most ancient population in the world with the Greeks), and if it comes to Macedonia it is recognized by Greeks as their own name and I personally agree with them, Macedonia does not even have a name as a state. Did you know that 30% of your state is an Albanian population?

Kosovo was an Albanian province called Dardania. Since the Paris conference in 18 January 1919 Albania was divided in many nations, Serbia, Montenegro, Macedonia and Greece. This was an injustice done to Albanians. But as I see things are changing now.

 

You clearly have mistaken SciFi books with history books. Double check your sources and if you still think the same than triple check.
