I'm a firm believer that adhering to Web Standards helps to improve the search engine friendliness of your website.

    • The on-page content is better organized, making it easier to index individual pages
    • There's an improved use of semantic elements such as anchor text and headings, and
    • Navigation is more likely to be text-based which assists spiders in crawling the site

Does anyone else have any thoughts on the impact of web standards on SEO?

If your site is W3C compliant at w3c.org I have heard the spiders crawl it easier, so I ensure all my pages are easy to read!
