The Importance of Design

I strongly believe design is a vital factor for the performance of a web site. For making good revenue it is very essential. An attractive and well planed design can give good return.

 

Can anyone prove (through stories/examples) of when a design change resulted in more customers/conversions/leads?

 

Please invest in your designs, there are too many crappy sites out there. Once people will like your site it will improve your conversion, some will come back later to your site. If you look at your site as a long term business and design it properly it will also have an indirect positive effect on your search positions.

 

Prove it. I can tell my client that all day but she's not gonna listen to that shit.

 

My opinion is that design is every thing.

Design is not important for crawlers but it is important for websites visitors. Good design will encourage users to stay on site and they will most likely revisit the site on the other hand, poorly designed site will discourage them to come back. So, it just can't be completely ignored.

 

Good design Is just as important as development . because that's all the end-user can see & feel, Do you really now how an iPhone works,You just know that looks cool and it's easy to use.

 

I would say design is important, obviously not as important in terms of SEO as traffic and content
