I just hope you don't believe all Christians do what he is doing. Your last line cracks me up. Good one.

No, I don't believe that all Christians do that. I'm much more willing to listen to those who respect my beliefs as I do theirs...

Sorry (not really:D) to disappoint you, but "respect" is a two-way street.
But here is something that you may want to chomp on with all the other bile you seem to hold so very dear:

THE GOD OF "THE BIBLE" doesn't "respect" any of your "beliefs", especially when none of your "beliefs" are HIS Mandates.

Now, I just happen to know that you hadn't considered that tidbit of information, because you're so in tuned into your own little selfish mentality that nothing else seems to matter to you.

THE CENTERPIECE of all Scripture (The Entire "Bible") just happens to be. . .you guessed it : JESUS CHRIST [THE WORD of GOD]; so then, Firegirl, if JESUS CHRIST is not the Centerpiece of you life, then nary a bit of "respect" will you get from GOD. You either do life on HIS Terms, or you can continue to do Death on your terms. . .it so very nice of GOD to give you the ability, and the permission to choose that way, huh?

BTW, while you're currently free to choose, you can never control the consequences of your choice(s). That's why"

    BONG HITS 4 JESUS

    =GOOD FRIDAY!

Happy weekend all. You too nemi

I am purposely making a joke out of the thread, because it is a joke. People are seriously arguing with an intellectual child. I am sure Jesus would rather take a bong hit then have to spend one minute with his friend nemi.

Hey now, I am not "seriously" trying to argue with this guy. I'm just trying to get him so riled up that a vein bursts and we can have some reprieve for awhile....and it's Friday and I'm soooo bored at work.....

It's like looking at a really bad car crash, you just can't help but look....

After some very careful considerations of our various exchanges, I would like you to, first read the following:
"Then the master said to the servant, 'Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel [Greek word: ajnagkavzw (an-ang-kad'-zo) to necessitate, compel, drive to, constrain; by force, threats, etc.; by permission, entreaties, etc.; by other means] them to come in, that my house may be filled (Luke 14:23ff)."
Now if you would, explain the meaning and proper application of that Scripture, from a Parable told by our LORD, JESUS CHRIST.

And now, Please answer the following question:

If JESUS CHRIST, said about "Hell" [and/or "The Lake of Fire and Brimstone"], the following (and HE repeated it 3 times) ". . .where 'Their worm does not die, And the fire is not quenched (Mark 9:44, 46, 48).", how serious should we be about warning people, in every possible way, as our attempts to keep them from willingly going there (especially since Hell/The Lake of Fire and Brimstone) was not, not, not, prepared for humans)???

Doubting things is the scientific method, first espoused by Rene Descartes. You doubt something and then you have to prove it. You doubt the existence of God and then you have to prove it. This works for science, so it should work for religion too.

You doubt that something will fall towards the earth with a 9.8m/s acceleration, and then you can prove this showing how much distance something covers in a certain time.

The scientific method makes perfect sense and the OP is wrong.

It's game, set, and match in this thread, as Nehemiah once again proves he has no idea what logic is.

Bzzzt! Nice try, but wrong. I gave you multiple, entirely possible arguments that all make your worldview incorrect, and there is exactly as much evidence for any of those things being true (ZERO) as there is for your worldview. In fact, there's more, since every one of the things I listed doesn't require a literal belief in a book that directly contradicts with physical evidence. My logic isn't circular, moron. I gave you clear possibilities that don't require a massive lie chain like the one you were talking about, exposing your post as a false dilemma. That directly refutes the argument you present of "truth or nothing," while still remaining logically consistent.

Note that all of my alternatives are infinitely more likely than the false dilemma you gave in your post. My point isn't that any of those alternatives are true, it is that your argument of either a massive chain of lies or magical biblical inerrancy are not the only possibilities, and since you have NO evidence for either of those, everything I list is just as likely, if not more so due to parsimony. You tried to make me look hypocritical, but you misrepresented my argument so badly that calling it a strawman would be a colossal understatement.

You revealed your true nature right here, that of a fucking moron. You can't even understand what my argument says, so you respond by personally attacking me without even showing how your this makes your argument any more true. Let me spell it out for you: there are multiple possibilities apart from the two you listed, and each one of those possibilities has every bit as much evidence as yours while also being more parsimonious.

Bzzzt! Wrong again! I give you alternatives that expose your argument as a false dilemma and therefore illogical. Was my post really that hard to understand?

I have quite a bit to say, actually. You just refuse to listen and would rather spew out poorly reasoned arguments than actually discuss anything.

    Suuuure you will...

Biologically related according to what? The Bible? You still don't understand why circular logic is bad? This is an assertion and nothing but. I gave you alternatives to this assertion that are at least as likely. Therefore, there is no reason to accept this assertion.

I don't give a flying fuck if they believed it or not. My point is that your argument that they are all related could even be correct, evidence notwithstanding, and there's not a reason to accept God's existence. There's 'documentation' in every religious text according to this boneheaded argument, so my documentation is the Koran, the Vedas, and every other religious text in existence that says you're wrong. Get it? The Bible documenting itself is circular logic that can be used to 'prove' any religion right. If you want documentation for my counter-argument of those people specifically existing, my documentation is the Bible. I can interpret all of the God parts as myths but accept the existence of the people while still remaining logically consistent, just as I can interpret the myths of Greece as having some basis in fact, such as locations, while still adding on a load of made up stuff. There is no logical link between some obscure part of the Bible maybe being right and all of it being right, especially since it contradicts reality in a multitude of other places. You still haven't shown any outside documentation yourself, by the way.

Nice strawman, retard. Your Columbus argument is wrong on three levels. Not only was the world widely known to be spherical by that time, but scientific method as known today was not yet practiced. Also, physical evidence supports a spherical (almost) Earth, so you lose again.

The first part here is even more grossly stupid, as science has come to a (at least near) consensus on plenty of things, like electromagnetism, gravity, germ theory, atomic theory, and even *gasp* evolution. Consensus in the scientific community tends to happen fairly quickly once evidence is found, but even if science never reached consensus on anything, that wouldn't make the physical evidence against the flood wrong.

Let's look at some pieces of evidence against the flood, since you seem to believe it.
The primary reason the flood could not have occurred is lack of water. There is not enough water on this planet to cover it up to the mountaintops, so a global flood to that height is impossible. Even if this were possible, however, there is no evidence that such a flood occurred, and the existence of geological formations such as the Grand Canyon directly contradict with the flood. There are plenty of others, but let's just look at those two for now (though I suspect you won't answer at all).

...According to the Bible. You're using circular logic again here, but even barring that there is a compelling reason to reject your argument. The Jews, by and large, rejected Jesus completely. There were many unconverted Jews during and after Jesus’ life, as there still are today, genius. Many Jews rejected Jesus’ supposed divinity, which means your "lineage" proof doesn't prove a thing.

I reject the idea that the Bible is God's word since there is no evidence that it is such. Just because you accept it doesn't mean it's true, and Jesus existing as a person but not as a God is far more parsimonious than your worldview. Your equally undocumented scenario is way less probable, since it relies on a massive unfounded assertion of the Bible as God's word.

It is ridiculous because it is nothing more than an assertion that has no historical evidence whatsoever backing it up. Provide the evidence and you have an argument. You have failed to do that completely.

Which is more circular logic of the Bible referencing itself. There is no separate historical document, at least not one you've provided, that shows Jesus’ lineage, or even that he existed.

I don't reference anything because I'm not making positive claims, genius. My arguments so far have been logical reasons as to why you are wrong, not some sort of opposing claim. What makes this especially absurd, though, is that not once before have you asked me to provide a source for anything. I will gladly do so if you tell me which claims I need to document. Of course, I have asked you multiple times to document particular assertions you make, and you have failed to do so.

Physical evidence is what we reference, retard. I make the conclusion based on the evidence that exists. You, on the other hand, make your conclusions based off of your premises. Nice freaking try.

    Sure, I'll bite.
We can start with that argument and the argument from an abject lack of evidence for a global flood, which surely would have been present if one had occurred.

In other words, you've been caught in your false dilemma and you'll just avoid a response.

Let me reword my answer so that even you would understand it: The people who believed it did not necessarily know that it was a lie.

'Christians died for a lie they did not know was a lie.' The argument is exactly the same, moron. There is no way to prove that any martyrs knew that they were dying for a lie, and all of them sincerely believed that they were dying for the truth. Dying for a lie happens all the time, and you don't get to cherry pick the deaths for your cause since there are deaths for other causes too.

The only stupidity you've exposed is your own. Nice cop out, portraying me as a big meanie when you've rammed your head against a brick wall yelling about how I'm an idiot. You can't address the rest of my post, so you'll ignore it entirely.

Why? So you can act like a victim of Mr. Meanie Person? No, thanks. I'd rather just wait for you to get laughed out of this board.

    Bong hits 4 Jesus lol

When and where did I ever make that claim? See, that two of your problems de, you don't pay attention, and you only see what you want to be there.

BTW, Here's a question for you: How would you treat someone who Denied the existence of your Father and/or showed Him no respect?

Hey pee, are you angry with me for exposing you as the roach you are? Since you can't run with the big dog, stay your little puddy tat, behind on the porch.

Now, let me tell you what I'm going to do to you next, so that when I do it, you'll know that I can chew you up and spit you out, all at my own convenience:

I going to show as many, as I deem necessary, of your many contradictions (of your ownself) from one post to the next. You obviously have the keyboard do-do run blues, and you haven't a clue as to what you say, contradictory, from one post to the next. So I will just take some of your previous posts (I already have the one copied that I will use, just in case someone has to tell you how to get rid the real IG-NANT ones). So pe, just keep them 'runs' flowing, and I'll be getting back with you.
