I've done a quick search to make sure this hasn't been discussed recently, but I'm sure it's been discussed somewhere else or at least has crossed your mind. Ever since the introduction of the iPod we've seen a ton of products that stick a lowercase 'i' in front of the name. This had got me thinking on why companies use this iMarketingStrategy - I come up with a couple of conclusions. - Companies believe that consumers can relate the i to the iPod, thus being 'cool' - Companies believe that their product will follow the success of that of the iPod if they use the 'i'. Thoughts?
