Hi, I was just chasing a few opinions on the following. I am looking to get a new domain name, and I was wondering if it is ok to go with the hyphen between the keywords? e.g. keyword1-keyword2.com.au I cant have these keywords with no space as it is taken.. Would love to hear your thoughts? Thanks all.
I'd always go for the non-hyphenated version personally, but get the hyphenated as another option (Just in case of type in traffic).
If this is the case I don't see any problems whatsoever in using a hyphen. Mostly it's a matter of personal taste I believe
I feel that indirect benefit from other websites linking to you with Key1-Key2.com is greater than if Key1Key2.com -- that is if you trarget your websites for these KEYwords. Now the best - get both domains GoogleGuy has told as that G considers "-" a seperator...
If you are able to, get both domains. With the hypen and one without. If you are hoping for repeat traffic and the guy who visited your site yesterday forgets your domain name, the first thing he/she will try is the domain without the hyphen.
Yeh. The non-hyphened url is taken, and I dontsee it a possibility to buy itas they havenot repliedin a few weeks. Both are not active, but both are really good urls.
If you are relying on people typing in the url, then non-hyphenated is the option of choice, however, if you are hoping to rank well for keyword-keyword.com, the hyphenated can sometimes be more effective, depending on the competition.
