You'll find similar threads about crap search results from two or three years ago. Nothings changed really, google delivers users what they want, but sometimes crap sites pop up. They will be removed soon.

    Strange (or they fixed it),
The results I get seem to be different than yours.

The first 2 results are from answers.yahoo.com and do not redirect.
    followed by:
askville.amazon.com (A crap site that asks to sign up before you can see the answer)
    burmesegoldbull.blogspot.com
    poponthepop.com
    collegeotr.com
    web-pedia.blogspot.com
    showhype.com
    truemors.nowpublic.com
    inquisitr.com

Only clicked on the first 3 results. (I'm on a PC )

I do know how you feel though, I did a search yesterday (or the day before), and 5 of the first 10 results were the exact same article hosted on different domains.
If I could remember what search term I used, I would check to see if the results are still the same.
Maybe they accidentally turned off the duplicate content and spam filter for a few days :p

    Cheers
    James

What I find even more disturbing are the number of dead links in Adwords links displayed after searching for something. I was looking for some LAN furniture recently and after finding shitty results, I decided to visit 3 of the advertisers results. 2 of the 3 were dead links.

That's money put to good use.
