Why do non-believers feel the need to mock and criticize a message that promotes peace and happiness. In hind sight though they make the scriptures come alive.

    John 15:18
[ The World Hates the Disciples ] "If the world hates you, keep in mind that it hated me first.

    Matthew 22:29
Jesus replied, "You are in error because you do not know the Scriptures or the power of God.

    Mark 14:49
Every day I was with you, teaching in the temple courts, and you did not arrest me. But the Scriptures must be fulfilled."

These very scriptures must not only be read but will be fulfilled.

Jhn 15:25 But [this cometh to pass], that the word might be fulfilled that is written in their law, They hated me without a cause.

I think its more mocking ignorance. And peace and happiness is something we all want, and if you open your eyes to the way the real world works, not the way a fantasy works, is that people kill in the name of their own religion and god.

    MONEYSPEAKS, you write:
Unlike for your God, eh? Money?

People will kill for all sorts of things. Thank God not everyone who is devoted to money will kill for it. Thank God not all those who even like money will kill for it.

It is even more so with religion.

everyone makes mistakes - just because a bunch of guys were out of control doesn't mean the rest are or are not. It's not a rational argument only a public relations one.

The argument of a child. The Spanish Inquisition began 529 years ago and had it's heyday in the times of Christopher Columbus. Also, it is quite clear that what took place those five hundred years ago was contrary to the true teachings of Christ.

    2. Now, money has no teaching whatsoever assigned to it, yet has caused, simple deduction would certainly consider, far and away more murder and mayhem than any religion.

    Wouldn't it, now, Mr. MONEYSPEAKS

I see the same old argument emerges. When people do something wonderful in the name of God or Jesus Christ are they remembered ....no they are called delusional and rather quickly forgotten but when wars are carried out suddenly God exists and is accused of atrocities. Since Christ ascended back to the heavens there has not been a war directed by God. He is conquering the darkness with the truth. His appointed King Jesus Christ does not need weapons of destruction but the fire that he breaths is the truth of his words.

    Psalm 46:9
He makes wars cease to the ends of the earth; he breaks the bow and shatters the spear, he burns the shields with fire.

    Isaiah 30:1
    [ Woe to the Obstinate Nation ] "Woe to the obstinate children," declares the LORD, "to those who carry out plans that are not mine, forming an alliance, but not by my Spirit, heaping sin upon sin;

    1 Corinthians 1:10
[ Divisions in the Church ] I appeal to you, brothers, in the name of our Lord Jesus Christ, that all of you agree with one another so that there may be no divisions among you and that you may be perfectly united in mind and thought.

    1 Peter 1:25
but the word of the Lord stands forever." And this is the word that was preached to you.

    Matthew 24:14
And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached in the whole world as a testimony to all nations, and then the end will come.

The argument of a child. you keep calling me a child, is that because you are an old fart to stuck in your ways and to stuben to accept that you wasted your whole life believing something thats nothing more than a fairytale?

yet i thought it was the pope that order this? maybe i am wrong!!

did the church not robe the people of all their money? if not, then they still take it from the people, in Denmark you have to pay 1% of your income tax to the church weather or not you are religious or not. thats the church robing the poor still.

    Miss to you, dumbass.

the rest of the quoted can go back to sleep. when you wake up and see reality, then coms back and talk to me.

sad thing is people have to quote a book because they cant speak for themselves.
    who's the mindless sheep?

Reason can only inhabit an open mind. I am so f**king glad that I think for myself. Can you imagine having to mold your thoughts according to what someone, or something, dictates?
    That would be hell.

    Mikmik, you write:

Then hell it is, unfortunately, for you have molded your thoughts quite soundly around those of others. Stopping at a red light, for instance, must be to you the epitome of slavery. But all that aside, the fact is the freedom one realizes in obedience to His will is far greater than any freedom I have ever known. And it is a clear result of Freedom of Will. A Freedom of Choice exercised and born in Freedom. You, on the other hand, strike me quite the slave to your own impulse, your blatantly contradictory impulse at that, declaring yourself an island. As the bard wrote, no man is an island.

Eh, Samantha, how are ya, kid? Listen, you write:
Well, the fact is, kiddo, I am 52 years old in a few weeks, lol, an "old fart" at that. I'd venture to say I probably have children older than you. But I did not even consider God till I was in my late thirties, and you don't even want to know what kind of man I was before then. See, contrary to your statement, the waste of life came not after I gave my life to Him, but before. The misdirected anger (reflected now in your thoughts and words), the mocking tone of your youth... A true waste of time and thinly veiled cry for help. Thank the Lord His salvation is never too late.

"It is what you learn after you know it all that really counts."
    -Harry S. Truman

I was in my early thirties when i got to know him for real. Always believed he was there but never took the time to get to know him. I too battled life with an 'i know better attitude' until i couldn't do it any more..... I had so many questions and i was in need of a Saviour. 6 years on now and the word of God is being written in my heart ...finally there is meaning ...finally my life matters. Our frustration rests in trying to give this peace to others hey:)
