The Hidden 'F' in your web pages

    A team of scientists engaged in military research recently came to the conclusion that when it comes to reading web pages,most readers read in "F" shaped pattern taking into consideration the eye movements of 232 readers,it was found that a reader generally reads in a horizontal movement first.This is followed by their eyes moving downwards a bit and then,ensues reading across in a second horizontal movement covering a shorter area than what it was previously.

    That's extremely interesting...definitely something to keep in mind when laying out articles with ads.

    Yes, interesting, but I wonder how accurate it is. Scientists can find data to support almost any claim made.

    They probably took hundreds of eye tracking maps and made an average out of them. It kind of makes sense to see a result like that.

    That theory really was a waste. Anyone familiar with effective writing for the Web could have told you that (and explained why) years ago.
