The hardest keywords to rank on page 1 on google?

Just wondering what are the hardest keywords to be on page one and I am not talking about what position in page one of google. Just being on page one only. The keywords cannot include porn-related words.

I think some of them are:
    google
    cnn
    youtube
    facebook

However, how can you really tell what they are just by looking at one aspect of a certain keyword? Meaning, what is the most factor that determines what makes the keyword hardest to rank on page 1?

Well the latest and the newest of all should be OSAMA to get to the first page :D lol !!!!
There are so many of those writing and posting reviews and trying to promote their products by some viral marketing of the above keyword, that it is difficult to get on top :D

At a rough guess I would say U.S. Government, NASA or the New York Times

Okay, but how about this: should I just check how many results I get on google for a keyword and determine if they are the hardest keywords or not? Words like these:

the 24,710,000,000 (numbers indicates search results in google)
    facebook 11,070,000,000
    Free 9,640,000,000 results
    About 8,290,000,000
    Info 7,400,000,000

Meaning, the greater the "about results numbers" are determine how hard it is to rank on page one right? And it is harder than to rank this way than ranking on page one for keywords that have the most searches?

The number of returned results does not necessarily mean you cannot rank for your keyword, it depends what sites are on the front page, and how strong the competition is that isn't beyond that, unless your site has a high pr rank you need to look for pages that have nothing higher than say a pr3, depending on your skill level, but even so PR is not a particularly good pointer to site strength, but it does give you a starting point, once you have this you can delve further into it.

The words you have listed there are mostly modifiers, put them with a proper keyword and it will make a lot of difference, (unless you are trying to rank for dictionary terms)

Yes you are right, but it is difficult ranking for most one word keywords on the first page as they are all used up anyway.
