Well, there is a part of me that wants to say enough is enough and leave adsense for good. I have been around for quite sometime, about 5 years, and have done quite well. But lately, I am finding that the harder I work the less adsense is paying. In fact if I try to improve my sites, I find that I am punished even more. Maybe it is time to give it away and find a real job. lol
i totally dis-agree with you on this Point; only its Your thinking million of peoples are doing this: any ways What Moral u want to give us
oh well. keep working on it! Thats the best advice anyone can give you right now. And of course, keep learning.
I think that your thoughts go through my mind all those who are engaged in this business. Do you think that would otherwise be to change your job?
How are you working adsense? Blogs? Your main page? How are you getting punnished ? Less $ per click, or less traffic?
Its not true if u work hard and has good organic traffic from any search engine then surely you get good earning ...
I agree, I think google just wants to dominate the whole market, it is hard to earn enough money to cover your time and cost. Google loves bigs websites with million of daily users so unless your are Twitter or wiki then 0.01$ is not worth to waste your time on. In the near future we may only have Google website and no one else... Google this Google that... I will sell my pc then and try to get a job in Google, and I am sure it will be as hard as getting good earning from adnonsense.... For those who keep saying work hard! 12hrs on the pc every day for the past xxx years, shouldn't that be enough?? perhaps we should work in our sleeps and have some Google dreams, I'm just wondering will we get paid for Google Dreams if we click on them....just having my moment, thanks for reading
This same effect seems to be happening to me as well. Things were improving, adding more content getting more clicks, but lately all the effort I put in isn't being reflected in what I am earning. I am starting to move internet marketing into the background and go back to my other projects. I reckon you need 50 - 100k visitors a day to make a living from adsense, it can be done but it might be harder work than getting a normal job.
There is nothing as constant as change. I've been with Adsense since the first summer they came online. I still do very well with Adsense. While I can not tell you what you are doing "wrong" I can tell you that if you are not focusing on what people want and making sure your Ads match the reasons they come to your site you won't win. And Adsense applies penalty/reward account wide. If you add a bunch of new sites that are not up to par it drags payment down on your entire account. You should also really evaluate where you are placing your ads and how many are appearing on a page. It's a huge mistake to put Adsense on new sites if you want to make real money. Let your projects "age"... make sure Google has respect for them by showing some kind of PageRank... then add in the Adsense later. Blogs make it too easy to place ads automatically on every page... which is a killer... just empty impressions. Look closely at your traffic. I get loads of traffic from Countries Adsense Advertisers are not able to sell to and bots... I promptly block this traffic when I find out about it. Again... useless empty impressions.
that does not mean it is not working out for you.it just means you have chosen the wrong path, the wrong methods.understand what goes wrong and then correct it. "real job?" - come on,man.you can turn this around and become more successful.
It's true don’t be discouraged. I'm doing well with AdSense and I’m finding that all my hard work is well rewarded using the scheme. You might be off the pulse a bit. Your AdSense strategy might need re-evaluating. But most of all you shouldn't give up. You must have gained a lot of experience with AdSense it would be such a waste to let it all go. In what way are you been punished by AdSense? What's all the hard work you've been putting that hasn't paid off? A problem shared is a problem halved. People might be able to help. No matter how long you've been in the business you can't know everything there is to know about AdSense. It changes too much, too quickly sometimes to keep up. Anyway don't give up and good luck with your future efforts.
I agree don't be discouraged although about a month ago I read an article somewhere titled "How Internet Surfers are Becoming Immune to Adsense". What the guy wrote in that was very true, a lot of the time Adsense ads promise a lot and then when you click, you don't really get that. Most people tend not to click them no more, the style of them is also very recognisable. You could tell something was an Adsense ad from a mile away (not literally). Good luck in the future though. Maybe you should start selling advertising spaces instead of Adsense.
If that can help you get a fresh eye on what you're doing, I recently wrote a few tips for adsense beginners and intermediates. I wish I had read those tips before. I don't know how you're working on your site, but for me it is not a matter of producing content about what I like, like I did at first. Now I do sites as a job, so I produce content that people are actually looking for, and not any people, the ones I want to have on my sites (in front of my adsense ads) that is people who are not so web savvy and a lot of them everyday! Good luck, and you know if you give up you won't earn more, not a solution.
