Twitter.com is a fairly new social network that allows users to update all there followers on there daily happenings. Some internet marketers are realizing that this is a very valuable tool to help bring traffic to your website. The only problem is finding followers to listen to what your saying. At first when i thought of this I couldn't find anything out there to help gain followers so I looked and looked then I found something that is similar to a site that I used to get MySpace Friends. These pyramid schemes are useless, they get you some followers, but they're bad quality, you're all after followers, but none of you want to listen to each other, you may end up with 10,000 followers but it's just a number! There is no point in having followers that aren't interested in what you have to say
Yeh, that's the problem. None of your followers are actually that interested in following. They are grudgingly doing so in order to gain their own following. I can't see these type of people converting very well. Probably the only time they would convert is if you had some kind of product that was very effective in making more money for web masters. Perhpas something that helped them with Twitter in some way? This may convert OK, as you will attract web master followers with a scheme like this, who obviously use Twitter. However will they check their posts? Think what you would do when you are sent loads of marketing bumf from your 'followers'.
and to add to what the oithers have said - you'll lose some of your 'real' followers - everyone I know just unfollows anyone who retweets the automatic "I've joined spamascheme to get 5 million followers in 3 weeks" message.
