Look at this : PR 0 ---> PR 2 : a lot of work done, many related links, good serps PR 0 ---> PR4 : nothing done, not a single link (even as shown in yahoo) not even meta tags, no sitemap, most pages not indexed, no serps !!!!! PR 2 ---> PR3 : changed nothing but on page optimization, good serps PR1 ---> PR1 : nothing done, predictable I am uninstaliing the google toolbar and I am no longer looking at the green bar
Dont look at one page, just check http://search.msn.com and see if anything links to it, or if anything in the links changed since April 22th. Believe me, something changed.
Went from PR 5 --> 4 after 5 months of PR 5. Gained even more high pr linkins over the past 3 months and still dropped. Many of the sites subpages went to 0, but yet still are indexed. Another site I have which was expired for months (which I recently registered) has a PR of 4 before the update and still has a PR of 4 after the update. 0 content, 0 backlinks according to yahoo.
the pr 0 -> pr 4 : has no backlinks, zero ! nowhere, only 3 pages indexed with no backlinks. I was expecting it to drop to -10 in pr. Anyways, it will be good for exchanging links with the main site
I reckon Google are doing the same with PR as they've done with Backlinks. They are probably only showing some of the pagerank that each site has
Mr expert, hey, that sounds cool! My point is that if you post the url of the site you say has no backlinks, we would find many backlinks in a few seconds. PR isn't and has never been irrelevant, it is a complicated algo which Google uses to rank pages. One single good backlink can give a page more PR than 50 crappy backlinks
It will get me to leave DP because all what these well respected member do is to rudely criticize beginners. If you don't like something just ignore the post. If the moderator thinks a thread should be removed he will do it.
That's the dumbest thing I've read all day. Can I borrow a dollar? If the site has a PR 4 it has (or had) at least one link at some point.
