Which is the BEST Operating System in the World ?

As there are Windows, Mac OS and Linux as the main 3 OS in the world (we are not talking about Sun Solaris, AmigaOS, OS/2 and others here as there are not widely used). Which one do you support ?

I personally choose Windows for it's wide acceptance, great software availability and not to mention great computing performance from todays new hardwares. Only Windows can churn out most of the powers from those performance beasts. Other OS cannot match Windows in this area. I agree that there are many security issues with Windows, but that situation is constantly improving with newer version releases and service packs.

I use Windows at work and Mac OS at home. I prefer Mac

 

Well, technically Windows is the best in terms of support and usability, but I personally am starting to love Linux Xandros. I never liked Mac or any free Linux distros.

 

I use windows at home and work, my servers run on linux.

 

I would have to say Linux, it is the most portable and best IMO for being able to tweak it however you like.

 

Linux for Servers and Windows for Home PCs...

I use windows both at work and home. Although it is pricey, I like its performance which is simply superb

 

I will use any good OS that most of the programs support. (of course now it's Windows)

Mine is Windows because it is compatible with 99% of the software out there.

 

Windows due to availability, linux on webservers. I want to try ubuntu on a home PC soon... Mac is too flashy for me!

 

Vista is the best....

 

for users windows and xp for best performance, linux for servers it is for sure
