I laughed my ass off, a Google killer search engine written in PHP and mySQL. Good luck. Better optimize your scripts well

 

So does it have anywhere near as much computing and storage power as Google? Because without those, a killing machine is sort of like a firearm without bullets.

This thread is now nearly a month old. Surely it won't take a full month to kill google with a well di"SPERSE"d attack....

 

i was surprised because my blog was listed in the search engine. That's amazing!!

 

Nothing will kill google.... Google is so *Rich* because of there advertisements, so if you have something like adsense too then yea maybe a google killer but till then nothing will beat google.

 

I also have a stake in it.
Hope it will really compete with google

Hahaha... If you say this site as Google killer, what about Ask, MSN, Yahoo, Netscape, AOL, Altavista etc. top Search Engine. This side has clearly mentioned that all the search results are displaying from Altavista and Altavista use Google database. It's just clear that Google is the father of all Search Engines.

Today Google is a verb. If you are looking for something, do google. Looking for good girlfriend? Do google. Forget to bookmark an important website? Don’t worry, Google is here. Google...google...and only google.

Sometimes Google comes in my dream and says, "What you are doing on bed? Just come in my search box and find your future." Joking...

Do people think the major problem with search engines is that they haven't really changed in 8 - 12 years! I mean the big three Google, Yahoo, MSN do exactly the same thing, you type a search term and get back a static list or URL's, wow!!!! Think of the development that Mobile phones, PC's, Game Console and Music players have made over the same time period, search engine companies are very lazy in product advancement.

the next google killer is out there - but it will take a bright spark to design a user experience for searches which is not a boring, flat, text based link list!!!

Hah, you are comparing a Search Engine with a Music Player. This is very funny man. I think you need to talk with SEO and ask them whey Google is not changing anything when the Music Player has already added one more PLAY button. A Music Players, PC etc. are electronics goods and Search Engines are WWW. So, it's totally different. I think an uneducated person too show the differences between an electronics goods and www.

Google update their search algorithm every time. But it’s not visible like Music Player button, or PC cabinet. If I ask you to do acting like Jim Kerry, can you do that? Never. Every body has some individual capacities and no one can do out of their boundary.
