I don't think it has enough potential to make Google's life miserable

It's normal for humans... when we are used to something (google) and even make money from it we'll give just a little or no attention to something new.

Google also started like that. I remembered at that time when I was used to yahoo and altavista, when google came into the picture of SE, I was reluctant to use it. But after trying google for a few times I fell in love with it.

Maybe this new SE will have its own users and admirers but only the users and time will tell whether it will be the 'killer'. :D

I like the concept. Take more than a good concept though for anyone to be a Google killer at this point in time. And I'd wager that just about any new search engine that became any kind of real threat would quickly be bought up by Google or Microsoft. Very few entrepreneurs could hold out and the big business efforts would likely be geared towards an eventual Google or MS buyout.
I will check back on this site though unlike the hundreds of other search engines I've seen.

Not bad, but the speeds are slower compared to other SE's.

I disagree with it being "fast", it's fast because only a few uses it. It might go down once it reaches 1/4 of the number of processes done by Google per hour.

I doubt it would upset the big G. However, it can take a small piece of the pie

Interestingly enough, my sites rank better there, even with zero votes.

Results are pretty good, but you cant kill google if you dont actually have a company, stocks, MONEY, and a YouTube-like right hand! Also, you need an adwords+adsense kind of setup as well.

It's... Interesting. But the vote system is no more going to give it a special place in our hearts than a regular search engine. And I'll tell you why.

Cheaters. Even in this board alone there are plenty of cheaters, people selling 500 stumbles with tags and reviews for example. The same thing will happen with the votes...

The only honest way around that is to confirm each and every vote with a piece of RL ID, and there will be next to no one willing to go that far to vote for a site. This is why voting works for ebay though, all the voting is done by separate people. Or, at least, they do a good job making that illusion.
