After getting fed up with seeing all my keywords marked as poor by the adwords system for which which the keywords are directly related to the page - inclduing online shops i own in which the keyword clikc takes the usrer to the exact page for with the keyword related; i decided to test it out with a 3rd party url.

I entered the url of a leading seo advice website, made up a dummy ad offerng free seo advice etc and then i aske dthe adwords tool to find keyword related to that page, it of course brings back a list of seo based keywords. I added all of these to the account and saved it.

Upon going into the keywords tab i see that google has set the quality score for every single one of the words down to poor; the same words the google adwords bot itself chose for me. The words which are 100% related to the site. So it appears its not just my site but appears google is at random trying to rip people off by making them think their keywords are not very good and asking them to bid several times which they should be.

Time to chose the account i think and head over to Yahoo for my future advertising.

So you advertised someone elses site to see what quality score you would get? ....

Quality score also takes into account the ad text, display url and account history.

google does not randomly pick people to pick on. There is probably an issue with your landing page or campaign setup.

If you like, PM me and I will go over your account and see if I can pinpoint the problem for you
