No No No... I am not going to have the user thrown about from site to site. I would only consider adding a back link to each site at the footer being displayed as website design and development by such and such....

I tell ya, at first this SEO game seems simple. But when you really get into it, it becomes a real challenge....

    I love challenges... :D

Actually a nice idea...as multiple domains if optimized properly will fetch more traffic than one optimized domain...and also interlinking will help to spread the traffic in entire network of sites...but i think that if u overdo it, u may face the penalty for excessive cross linking...so take care!

and definitely as freeflyer said u will have to compromise with better overall pagerank of the main site.

ah sorry, yes something like that is fine.

yep and SEO forums are the worst place to find out ! everyone has different opionions about things, there are no hard facts, and there are plenty of people handing out advice not knowing if its correct or not (and yes, i include myself in that one, as every SEO should). There is no science to SEO, no one knows exactly how it works. Its 60% knowledge, and 40% educated guesses.

If you're asking a question, dont take one answer as the correct one, wait for people to agree with the poster first, several times if possible.

fabulous post, really nice writing style :)

I'd only say one thing - backlinks.

You can analyze all you like, and tweak keywords / densities etc till those Friesians come back to the barn, but it won't help if you're targeting something competitive.

For very long tails, of course, the advice is sound.

Yep, long tails certainly, albeit with a high number of monthly average searches, in the many thousands is best.

For example, when I say a long tail, we're just doing one site at the moment and on just two 3 word longtails (keywords), each of these gets over 40,000 searches on average per month, with somewhat low competition, below 10,000 competing websites in an always hot and very popular niche with a huge, natural appeal.

Many thanks for your compliment on my posting style too, I much appreciate you saying so, very kind of you indeed.

Any idea where? The services section of this site does not appear to be of use any longer?
