To be honest, I haven't even tried any browser other than Firefox, I guess that it's just that I'm more used to Firefox

I guess Chrome will not have anything like Adblock Plus. :D They won't want to filter out their own ads. So, ads might be a problem.

And everything that Google makes remains in BETA, forever!!

I think that does not matter much for them (Google) as they have already extended their contract to be the default search engine for firefox. Google is much concerned about its advertising market share

"Google is worried that Microsoft could abuse its power by manipulating Internet Explorer's default settings in a way that might diminish traffic to Google's search engine, which serves as the hub of the largest on-line ad network."

Chrome is not yet launched but I guess it will be a great browser :)

I wonder why google is working on this open source browser when they are already funding Mozilla ?

google.com/chrome [you may see a error, its because it isnt released yet]

Agreed Opera is a better browser, however the plugin support for Firefox makes it a far better tool for browsing.

If Chrome doesn't have plugin support it will fail, however due to the Open Source nature of it i'm guessing over time it will gather plugins and extensions.

I will never use Chrome, Firefox does more than i need and Google already has way too much of my data.

If google starts to advertise this browser massively, then I guess it can beat any other browser :)

I guess we will have to wait for Chrome to be released, then we will take a look at its privacy policy and will see if it collects such data [that can affect any site's ranking in google] from users :)

Google Chrome is due for release in 100 countries, today!

the google cache has indexed a few pages from the Google Chrome website but it seems the deadline has been pushed back and these pages are now taken down and are no longer cached (but still appear in serps). http://www.google.com/search?q=site:gears.google.com/chrome/&filter=0

will it compete with firefox? safari? opera?

will it be that final push which kicks Internet Explorer out of the marketplace?

Will there be an automatic transfer of our sites into Chrome? Will we have our PR in Chrome. Will out current PR help us be more searchable in Chrome?

    What's everyones thoughts about this?
