look plain and more like advertising google's products. I hope people will make more add-ons for it soon.

Can't agree more than that. What if Google becomes a monopoly as long as they provide us with great new and FREE products/tools? They are actually trying to help everybody, but people start questioning whenever somebody does good to them. I guess it's in the nature of the human kind of being suspicious... ;)

I like it, as said before it is very fast, alot faster then the rest, there a few little niggles like not being able to click in the middle mouse button and drag to move the page up and down like you can in FF. but after all it is only a beta, so I'm sure google will improve on it as time goes by.

on a funny side the spell checker does not recognise google as a real word would of thought google could of got that in there.

What are the advantages of using Chrome over Firefox or IE?

Whoops, those two crash bugs reported in this thread all do their work for me too. When I enter about:% and when I right click on the address bar, it just crashes the browser, good thing that it has tab restoring on crash. :p

I guess those two bugs will be fixed in no time. Also, I've tested the security vulnebility reported in an article here too and tryed the demo link, but it doesn't exploit it, it just prompts me to download a fake coupons.jar file, which I can not be that stupid to open afterwards. It's just like a random page prompting you to save an .exe file and then run it.

Chrome is just a rebranding of Safari i guess.

It's good in speed, but the official sites of microsoft like microsoft office live.. can't be open in this google chrome. i'd downloaded it today and use it..it needs more efficiency. google team has to work on it to make this browser more and more effective.

Ahem, you mean Firefox? I think it uses Firefox's architecture.

I am happy right now with FF3 and let chrome pass the acid test before everyone can adopt it :)

I don't even think it will go far I mean FireFox is the market leader why do Google think that they can take a peace of this market do they even have a USP?

Seriously, when I read this post I feel like most of you havn't read anything about chrome and havn't tested it. Comments like "its just a copy of firefox", "nothing new just waste of development time" prove your ignorance and just makes you look stupid.

I tested Chrome for the first time today and almost read the whole comic about it. I got to say I love it. The feature which makes each tab an own process is brilliant. My firefox always crashes when someone logs in to msn and im watching a vid on youtube at the sametime, but with chrome the only thing that crashes is Flash. So what i do is just update the page and I can keep watching. With FireFox I have to wait for it to shut down, start it up and find that vid again.

Plus, have in mind that this is just a Beta. I'm pretty sure FireFox wasn't as good as it is today when it was in Beta.

    Kalle.

Chrome is not rebranded Safari nor is it Firefox. It does use the WebKit rendering engine, as used by Safari, but there are a raft of other unique & useful features which people would discover and possibly enjoy if they only took the time to actually use the browser...

It's not like that. Sharing your browsing/searching activities is a matter of choice and Google gives you the options to disable collecting information about you...
