Other than incorporating Adsense. Has anybody seen or thought of a way to use the Google API to make money?

It's now allowed by Google's API terms and conditions.

Although there are a couple sites doing it (www.seocount.com for example).

HI there, I am not quite shure if I got this right, but is it legally ok to use a program like keyword tracker on a site which displays paid advertisement? I always thought that this is considered "commercial" by Google and thus not allowed unless you have a special permission from Google. Does Digitalpoint have a special permission to do that, or do you not need one?

We don't have a special deal with Google.

You could argue that Digitial Point does not use the API at all. We each enter our own Google API ID. In that case the one's using it are the ones who are responsible for not using it for commercial purposes. So basically as long as you don't sell the results, you are fine.
