Google disallows the use of pop-ups, pop-unders in landing pages. Can someone please tell me other alternatives there is. Someone hinted me I can use pop over but I will like to confirm if this is true.

if you like popups then you probably should not be considering Google as an advertising medium.

Google users, including myself, realy HATE popups and especially popunders.

Yes Robertpriolo, I'm really not particularly crazy about using the so called pop-ups/pop-under, I wonder if there is any effective method besides pop-up which I can use to gather opt-in list for email campaign.

Put the opt in form in your page, there's no need to pop it. IF you have a good enough reason for the person to opt in, they will.

Actually, you can use a pop up/under or a site mask. It just needs to be timed correctly. One of my clients currently uses a site mask pop a phone number. We wait 2 minutes then pop the site mask. Also, we use a pop under which is popped once the user has clicked on any link.

Try it out with a campaign and see what happens. My client has been using this technique for a few years now.

    Cheers!

All the yack about what works is mostly yack.

    1. Find the target market.

    2. Give them what they want.

    E-mail sign ups will follow.

Of course you could make life very simple.

This is what I find most effective.
