When I came up with starting a website, I figured I would get most of my traffic from the USA and Canada since I live in the USA. I've been on forums for as long as I can remember and there are always people from other countries. But since I've set up my site it really hit me, the world feels so much smaller. I get people from Chile to South Korea to Australia and many other countries. It still amazes me that people on the other side of the earth have been on my site. So brings up some interesting questions. How do you gain more of an international appeal? Do you write content specific to certain countries? Do you try to get knowledgeable people in the field from there country to make an appearance in a forum/chat/article? Honestly it sounds quite challenging but I'm willing to try. I think this is more of a getting things out of my head. But if anyone has any thoughts to add or suggest feel free to.
