I am seriously thinking about how the future search engines might look like..I mean not the design, but the characteristics.

Here are some of my thoughts - what say you? what do you think about search engine of the future.

    1. Search engines will deliver you before you search.
iGoogle is leading the way to predict what you might search next based on your browsing habits (email, RSS, groups)

    2. Keywords, what are they?
Quintura (quintura.com) - where you can conduct a tag based search, so, you need not break your head for the right keyword.

    3. Community powered search
No one thought Wikipedia will be successful, right? What if a search engine's database is managed in a wiki-style, by an active community (sproose.com)?

    4. Social networking based on search
Would you be interested in meeting the people who searched for the same query as you? Hakia.com tests this concept and imagine what it might lead to - "Users searched for these also searched for this and that" or "found these weblinks useful) kind of recommendations..

What is your idea of the future search engine? Genuine thoughts appreciated

    It will cook my dinner.

I actually like the way ask.com works. I like the preview mouse over function.
