I have written an article about how directories changed and how they are changing right now. If you want check it here : The Future Of Directories and tell me your thoughts.

I am not sure that Google has changed the way the treat directories.
As far as I see it all the 'paid link' is just hype

hmmm...... no offence, but what you wrote about is nothing new and has been almost common knowledge, at least to the people around here.

Just some tips: you need to put in more analysis to give more 'meat' to your topic. Simply taking info from one source and concluding is not enough. I assume you are talking abt matt's blog right? Do you agree with him? Is he NECESSARILY speaking for Google? Also, I don't really see how the topic is about the 'future of directories' besides your only point abt adding content.

    My 2 cents....

OK. I want to make clear here that I am not thinking that I have rediscovered the fire. I know I say nothing new. This blogpost is just my thoughts on a subject.
I also want to clarify that what I wrote there is completely my own thoughts.
I know that I should have gone a little deeper into the analysis subject.
It probably is that English is not my native language and I can't always express, exactly what I mean in English.
That is why I post this thread. So that someone can read it, tell me what he/she thinks so that we can have a further discussion and analysis here, in a way that everybody can gain something.
So, no offence taken, and please continue writing your opinions.
    Thank you for your time.

No need to apologize jl255. I am interested on what you think on the subject. I am willing to hear as many opinions as I can and learn through the process.
