The freebies section = a mess

Sorry to bring this up again, but I still find that the freebies section is made into a mess by stumple upon & digg exchanges. Today I posted my free arcade scripts latest version. I put months of work into it. Within an hour, it's been pushed off the first page by a load of stumble upon threads, nearly all of which don't actually offer anything for free!

PLEASE do something about this.

There should be a sub-forum in Freebies called Social bookmarking exchange

 

A Mod (sarah) already said there not going to be any (will search for the post again)

I spot a recurring theme here.... we're never going to get a sub-forum called 'Social Bookmark Exchanges' because that would be seen to condone what is against the TOS of the social bookmarking programs.

Much better to shoot on sight anyone who offers to 'Digg' or 'Stumble'.

Originally it didn't bother me because I was a contributor to the problem but now that I see it's out of hand, something needs to be done.

 

As it is, the freebies section should be called Stumble Upon exchange and free stuff should be put in the correct other forums.

It's just annoying for someone like me who really is giving something for free, something which I have spent time on.

The whole idea of 'stumbling' each others sites is a pretty poor one anyway and isn't giving anyone proper traffic or benefits I wouldn't think.

 

I better suggest to completely stop all these stumbleupon exchanges,if not than at least stop the digg exchange.

but making a section for them is stupid

Nothing is going to change, as this has been brought up time & time again and while the better majority that have posted in the threads have thought change was needed, no changes have really been seen (other then maybe the trading of stumbles for rep).
