The Forum Fairy: Established Content Providing/Paid Post Site.

Hi All,

I am thinking about selling my beloved Forum Fairy business. Unfortunately I cannot keep up with the demand for orders as well as being a full time mum and wife! The quick success of this site proved to be a big surprise to me as it was only set up to give me something to do in my spare time.

I plan to focus on my freelance entertainment writing and create myself a separate portfolio for this so I will not be working as part of Forum Fairy at all; the person who buys gets everything.

I’ll cut to the chase and give you the details:

I own two domain names, the one that is being used at the moment http://www.theforumfairy.com
and
http://www.forumfairy.com

They are both registered at 1coms.com and I will push BOTH domains over to the new owner.

I’ll state now, that I’m not willing to accept offers of under £1000 (UK pounds) for this site, as the potential it holds is enormous, I am happy to hold on to it and develop it fully myself when my child goes to school.

The main site is a paid for plain pink template that we fully customised ourselves. The forum fairy logo (fairy next to the writing at the top) was custom designed for me by a great designer as was the pink forum fairy banner displayed on the main page.
I also had the forum custom designed to match the main website, so as you can see, a lot of thought and work has gone into making this site original and unique.

I have been doing most of the work myself, with a couple of staff helping here and there when the work load gets too much, but what this site could really use is someone who can completely re staff it and meet the demand for work to its full potential.

I have advertised on a number of different forums, but have not done any paid advertising at all as yet; this would dramatically increase exposure of The Forum Fairy if you were to do this.
As you can see I am also hosting The Forum Fairy off of one of my other websites, what it really needs is a space of its own to build up a page rank and achieve maximum exposure, again something that I literally don’t have time to think about right now.

The thing about The Forum Fairy is that it is so versatile; you can pretty much offer any website or forum service on it due to its name. From paid posting, content writing, Template sales etc etc.

To give you a rough estimate of what I am making from this site I can tell you that I have taken approximately $900 in the 6 months or so that I have been working on it, this is with me just doing part time work here and there. If someone was willing to put more time into it and staff it etc the possibilities for a real business venture are there without doubt. I can show proof of earnings to truly interested people.
The Forum Fairy has not received ONE complaint since we opened, we have become a trusted name in the paid posting business, for the friendly yet professional way I have operated it.

I will also finish all current orders myself before the sale so you will have a completely clean slate when you start work on the forum fairy.

$2,000 for a turnkey site (redirect, domain + separate "content"). Forum with THREE members.

pfffffff i highly doubt you are webmaster for THREE years, rather a mediocre forum administrator (your very very big movie forum has.... 500 members).

 

What on earth is your problem?! Following me round forums trashing my threads and sending me abusive PM's. Very mature. Well done.

If you doubt anything that I've said then please feel free to take it up with the admins here, I'll be perfectly happy to provide proof of anything in question to them.
Yes I have been an admin of websites for well over 3 years, quite why thats an issue with you I'm not sure. I am a regular here at DP and have had many satisfied clients for both my work on the forum fairy and my entertainment related work.

If you don't want to buy it... don't. You don't need to be insulting to someone just trying to sell on their business which they have worked hard on to keep their customers satisified.

The OP has clearly put in a lot of effort in describing the business (by the way, that seems to be what you are buying here, not content or a forum) and it really angered me to see you come here and blatently insult her site.

I can understand if you wanted more information and had some questions, but you just seemed to insult the site. Oh well rant is over.

Seriosuly good luck with the sale, I have seen TFF before, because it seems to have earnt a good name for itself on many webmaster forums. Shame I can't afford it.

The good news is that I may be able to keep running TFF - A friend of mine has offered to help manage it for me and do the day to day running so that I can also work on my entertainment writing and be with my family at the same time.

I'm putting the sale on hold for now as obviously I'd love to be able to keep running The Forum Fairy if possible. Thanks to those of you who showed an interest, I'll keep you all informed.
