I dont know a whole lot about Forex, but a good place to start would be on Forex.com where you can create a virtual account and trade on the real market without losing any money
Forex requires a lot of experiences as well as knowledge of the market, I would suggest taking some courses in Forex and also try in out as what amedia suggest above before putting in real money. Forex especially on margin training can easily earn a lot of money as well as easily incurred huge losses.
Its all about recognizing trends, I think..I looked into it a little, it just seemed like all luck to me, I don't know.
The only way you can really learn is by experience. Just start investing, even if it is just $500 because $500 is a good investment whether you loose or make money because it is the learning that counts. Making money with forex requires a lot of real money practice if you believe you have a real talent for it you should try first a demo account for few months and than few months practicing with small amounts. you will see that losing money is very easy every mistake is highly costly if you have extra money you can afford to lose you can give it a try if you really expect making easy money forget about it unless you are really gifted or like the "rain man " of forex
