The football season's here!

Yes I know there's a month to go before the NFL starts and another week before the Premier League kicks off (to give all those Asians who follow Man U a chance to buy some more replica shirts), but for the fans of proper, grassroots football today's the big day!

The mighty BRIGHTON AND HOVE ALBION will be starting the season with our customary away defeat at Crewe Alexandra. There will then follow nine months of misery, heartache and humiliation before the traditional end-of-season recriminations and finger-pointing about why we were so shit (again). Can't wait!

Anybody else follow their local, lower-divison side? (I think there's a Grimsby Town fan here) DON'T post saying you live in Hong Kong, or even Surrey, and have supported Man U for the last five years because frankly I don't give a toss.

Blimey a 2-1 win! :) We could achieve the giddy heighs of mediocrity this year.

Not a die hard fan by a long shot but do follow Leicester City. Got off to a good start in League One with a 2:0 win over MK Dons. Have supported Liverpool since I was a kid, but not so local.
