    Part I (Fundamental Theory)

    1) Learn with all, but take none for granted; always make own calls.

    2) There is a lot of disinformation in the forums, perhaps as much as good advice.

    3) To find what really works for you, always follow your own counsel.

    4) Time spent posting the forums is time that could be spent setting up campaigns:

    5) Always remember this while weighing the relevance of ANY remark you come across.

    Part 2 (Fundamental Practice.)

    6) There are ONLY two ways to find out if something works: TRY and TEST.

    7) Always fine-tune and scale your campaigns, preferably in that order.

    8) Ceaselessly re-evaluate your marketing exploits, rinse and repeat the best you can.

    9) Lack of creativity seldom ever fails to result in leaving money on the table.

    10) Keep improving your personal affiliate toolkit; BELIEVE in what you do.

    @faclez: I don't mean to convey the idea that we shouldn't learn from one another, of course... that would be rather oxymoronic.

    I did mean to imply that no one intentionally reveals their trade secrets, so the most valuable advice IMO is usually found between the lines:

    Why... this is supposed to be inspirational. These 10 topics quintessentially summarize the crème de la crème, all the nuggetmost little nuggets of wisdom I've picked up from 6 months of active marketism. I don't know about you people, but I'm printing out this list and sticking it in the wall as a steadfast reminder.

    @Smitten

    I'd have to disagree.. posting on forums might be the most important tactic in the whole marketing biz, hence not a waste of time.

    I didn't mean to say that posting in forums is a bad tactic, or a waste of time ... after all, I too learned much in here.

    Regardless, I feel much of the time many newbies spend lurking/opinioning/stalling would be best used developing campaigns.
    I once read something to the effect of:

    "people who spend the least time checking their reports are the ones who make most money"

    I couldn't agree more, I've been there myself: feeling knowledgeable yet lacking real experience;
    passing second-hand advice, failing to realize that's not so good advice.

    That's also same reason I feel there is much disinformation in forums. Maybe it could be reasoned that:

    "people who spend the least time trolling the forums are those who actually learn the most "

    This thread was a useless nugget of information, loving the way your conveying your agument using words that the 'layman' would need to ctrl+c into google... I would suggest dumbing down your articles on your sites and split testing conversions lol.

    In terms of IM there is no set way of doing things, but I do know for a fact that I will say this too many times which is why I only come on here with my iphone or when I actually have nothing at all possible to do...

    This is what I like to call a n00b forums... we come on as n00bs, we learn from lesser noobs, we start teaching new n00bs what we think we have learnt... people say you carnt make money without putting into a lot of effort... I make money without any effor in IM marketing, I would make a lot more if I had time and was better at selecting products and was more ready to invest in people... so thats what I am starting to do, hence product in sig and another one to come out within the next 7 days...

    How do you become a top earning IM'er? You try everything, you make up ideas, you think of new methods of madness, you test them out, spend hours split testing, refine your skills, get a select few dedicated people to outsource to that can do the job and build mountains out of molehills... will it be easy? OFC it won't be easy its a god damn learning curve... there was a point where I was going to write out my full technique then I realised I don't want the extra competition from the good markets and the lucky n00bs... for example... did you know youtube has a keyword tool so you can find the best keywords to target when publishing your youtube video?.... point made to %80 of people who did not know that... I have made videos in literally 3 min's uploaded them, left them for dead and had around 5 sales over the year (about $300) omg you say only 5 sales in the year... it took me 3 damn mins... now im working on refining youtube videos and implementing them with my articles... the result is good..

    @ Faclez: What are you, trying to be one of the cool kids who makes fun of the kids who talk like cartoons? That is so adolescent of you :-P What next, you'll try to make me a wedgie?

    Listen, you are welcome to mock as much as you like - just don't expect that I get annoyed over it, ok?

    @legendary: I'm confused. You seem to be of a similar mindset to the reasoning that pushed me to write this guide... yet you say it's pointless. What am I, officially one of the uncool kids now?

    Good Points....

    "2) There is a lot of disinformation in the forums, perhaps as much as good advice." - Words of Wisdon. Most people lurk in forums either because they are newbies and want to learn (Therefore any comment that they make can be misleading and plain wrong) or because they want to promote their product, recruit affiliates, promote their signiture and so on. (Therefore they are Biased)

    Few are those that have a successful business and simply stay in forums posting and killing time. Maybe because if they do they wouldnt manage to be successful? Maybe...Staying in forums for a lot of time instead of working is sure to do more harm than good
