You are right, the creator could simply just not care, and the big bang could definitely be him playing around with something. This still means that he is evil. Carelessness could kill, and killing (let's not question this) is bad. Someone who works at a Coca Cola factory and spills something in the Coke could lead to many people getting poisoned and die. He was careless doing something that negatively effects the lives of others, and he therefore is evil.

Rebecca, thanks a lot. I really love reading your posts as well. You are always very nice with everybody and never completely dismiss any opinion. :)

You are right, I think it is more probable that a God has created us. My limited brain tells me that even though everything is supposed to have a beginning & an end, there should be ''something'' we can not comprehend that started it all. Let's call that God. I, however, am not just angry at him right now. I will be angry at him as long as there is a single person suffering, even if my personal situation gets better.

Thanks for the information about the devil. I was raised in a very religious environment and that exactly is what I have been taught. This still supports my claim that God is evil, as if he really had a kind heart, he would not create the devil, and he would make us live a happy life. All religions say that God is ''only testing us'' by creating the devil and make us suffer. I say it is just a filthy game he is playing, and that he is a careless ''thing'' that does not give a heck about those of us who starve, get killed, get tortured, and so on.

I am an ardent believer in the religion of the Flying Spaghetti Monster. I also believe in all the tenets of the Epsilon program.

Your ridiculing of my faith is shocking, it is discrimination!

    </sarcasm>

Exactly, this is just how silly most other religions are.

Just because a child does bad things doesn't make the child a bad child. At least that's the prevailing wisdom these days.

If you believe that, then on the flip side, just because a child does righteous things, doesn't make them righteous.

That's the point. Yes we can do righteous things but only through Christ can we *be* righteous. The reason is simply because through Christ God forgives our sins so He only sees the righteous things we've done. Without Christ, God would see the righteous and wicked you've done and be judged accordingly.

There are a lot of religions that try to fool you into thinking you *are* righteous and deserve heaven of your own doing. It takes a very dilluded person to think they're perfect which is what it means to be righteous.

It's time to face reality. One would be considered equaly deluded to believe that there exist such things as heaven and hell.

I do not see how you can compare a God who is supposed to have created us, the universe, and everything that exists to a child who is just starting to learn what is going on around him. God is supposed to be the ultimate truth, the ultimate wisdom, and he should be the most fair of all. If you are comparing a child who steal candies to a God who screws the entire population up, then I guess there is nothing we can discuss here.

So accepting Jesus as my savior makes God look at only the good things I do? And if I do not, then he would look at both the good & bad, right? This is so fascinating. What a wonderful God. He does not look at the good and bad you do just because you are the friend of someone who knows him (Jesus.) Sounds incredibly fair to me. I'll declare my Christianity, go rob someone tomorrow, and then give you a green rep. I mean if God only looks at the right things I do when I believe in Jesus, he would only see how nice I have been with you and only see the green rep. :)

    Ridiculous.

You explained it rather well on your own. You can either abuse that (and probably end up falling away and in hell) or be grateful for it and strive to be a better person because of it.

So you do believe that this really is the case?

This is truly disturbing. Anyway, I am so converting to Christianity. I won't abuse it, I'll just steal things from those who would not notice it. I'll only do it 4 times a month.

Fine. But don't let the cops catch you. They don't care who you're friends with. And if you don't repent, Jesus won't be your friend either.

You forgot to tell him that it is a heart change and that repentance comes first, for salvation is by grace through faith in Jesus Christ. If you have a heart change and repent from evil, you will desire not to do evil. Thankfully grace is sufficient because will still struggle and fail at times!

Yep. That's why Christians don't run around willy nilly committing crimes. They have a conscience and a love for God and their fellow man.

Plenty of Christians commit crimes... just like Muslims, and Atheists, and so on. Religion is not an accurate indicator of someone's criminal tendencies.

That is something I don't like about Christianity, is Christians informing you that you are going to burn in hell if you don't believe like them.(I guess it is suppose to be for your own good because they love you so much):)
Your original post was a statement suggesting that God cannot be that loving since there is so much suffering in the world.
<SARCASM>So now that you have pictured God sending a good portion of the world to a place where they will burn for all of eternity, I'm sure you feel much better about God now.<SARCASM>
You make some good points. Maybe God does exist, but doesn't really care about us.

I like the Spaghetti Monster too. I know it is supposed to just be made up, but I really like there beliefs and think it would be fun to be a pirate.
I went to the epsilon program and that is a funny site, but they don't have any info on there. I tried clicking on "You are happy, you just don’t know it - FACT!" and it wasn't a link to tell you why you are happy. Then I tried clicking on "the epsilon tract" but I just get a message saying it hasn't been written yet and I need to send money to the Cayman Islands!:)

That is a good idea I had not considered yet. Earlier today I was thinking about how much I like Southpark and thought about "The Divine Church Of Cartman Truth"...Or I was thinking I have this cute little pomeranian dog named CoCo and I could make him into a God...
But I like your idea alot. I probably won't start working on it until thursday so I'll think more about it. Thanks:)
