    I believe Popeye on the NES was the first, but it could have been an earlier arcade game that I don't remember.

    The First game I EVER played? that's a very tough one.
    I know that I had both a Nintendo64 and a Gameboy color, the N64 was release in 1997 and the gameboy in 1998 but I don't know which one I had first!
    Anyway one of the first games I would have played would have been pokemon yellow/pokemon stadium/007 goldeneye or zelda - ocarina of time
