I have also found that it's quite easy to rank well in MSN, Google on the other hand takes time and alot of effort:)

I would rather users find me on google, but it just takes a long time. I just like how MSN show my efforts sooner.

I don't think I will win the debate about MSN's level of difficult in terms of ranking, but I will say that a competitive keyword is a competitive keyword no matter what search engine you use. 2ndly, what makes it so hard to rank in google besides the sandbox?

A well optimized site with good content and quality links will rank a whole lot faster in MSN, but, after it gets out of the sandbox and matures in age, it should also rank well in google.

Google is better at detecting spam than MSN, but I just think people perceive that it's easier to rank in MSN because of google's sandbox. I ranked for one of my most competitive keywords on MSN within about 1-2 months. I am confident that if it were not for the sandbox effect, I would have ranked in the top 10 in google within 3 months.

Where are those figures from, they don't really correspond to any of the figures that I'm seeing. I'd argue that Google is about 70%, at least in the UK.
