Hi, Can anyone here please tell me what are fair prices for a PR 3, 4, 5, and 6 links on blogs and on static sites? Thanks!
And more importantly, the number of outbound links on that page. Some relevant to certain keywords are also much more expensive than a general PR# blog.
Price depends on a lot of factors and not just on PR. A website with 1000+ UV per day can charge $10-$15 per month even if there is no PR.
It's a nice tool, I'm just wondering how the value is really calculated though. I made some huge changes to PR and Alexa and sometimes the link value hardly changed. It seems like they're going much more off of traffic than anything else and not taking much if any SEO value in to account.
We use both PR and Alexa Traffic rank against a baseline of sites that sell advertising to compute a price. We weight the PR and Traffic against each other. Basically, sites with low traffic (above 500,000 Alexa rating) are priced more one PR and very little on traffic. Pages with high traffic (less than about 150,000 Alexa rating) start getting exponentially more credit for their traffic. Bottom line, the PR is good for SEO alone, while traffic on a site will convert to clicks back to your site so it gets more weight as the traffic goes up.
The going rate is around $5 per link, but like it has been mentioned, there are many factors that can affect that price. I build my own links for $150 per month and I can build as many PR3, PR4, and PR5 links as I want. It's a great system.
Is it vital that you make sure that a site that links to your site is in the same or a closely related niche as your site? Not talking about general directories, but niche sites, like for example if you have a wedding site, shouldn't all the links you get be related to weddings?
