Does anybody here actually enjoy having to deal with Google? If yes, I'm very surprised. I don't think I've ever been so frustrated with a company as I am with Google. The customer support is non-existent, and for a giant like Google it should be embarrassing. Anytime you have a problem with any of their services like Adsense, Adwords, Affiliate Network etc., you're pretty much screwed. Everytime I e-mail them with a question or a concern about Adsense I get the same generic robot-generated reply back, and there's no way to get in touch with a real human being. Same goes for Adwords and the rest of their services. I recently got rejected from the Affiliate Network because apparently I did not meet their rules. I read their TOS 3 times now, and I don't see a single thing in there that would suggest that I will not qualify. Of course there's no way to get a reasonable explanation from them because apparently their customer service department is run by robots. The funny thing is I had no problems getting approved by Commission Junction or Link Share. I'm also affiliated with such big names as Dell, Amazon, Buy.com, HP, Lenovo, Best Buy and about 15 other companies through those 2 affiliate networks. And yet apparently I am not good enough for the Big Dicks at Google, which is completely fine with me, but at least give me a reasonable explanation. Google generated almost $22 billion in revenue in 2008, and yet it's hard for them to implement a normal customer support department. I highly doubt that hiring 1,000 people and building a support center for all their products would make a huge negative impact on their earnings. If anything their earnings would increase because people like me wouldn't give up on them. I mean for fuck's sake Google, get your shit together before another company that actually cares about its customers comes around and starts to dominate the market. I guess you didn't learn from Yahoo. As the saying goes. "Those who do not learn from history. Are doomed to repeat it."
just go to adsense support group they will reply.. directly mailing them won't get reply..This is why support groups are made for.. i'm pretty satisfied with them ..
Support groups are not the same as customer service. There are often times when I need somebody from Google to look at my account because something isn't right. A support group can not do that. Besides people who are running real businesses and websites don't have time to play around at a support group, sometimes we need an immediate response especially if it affects our customers and revenue.
I agree that support groups differ from customer support..but if you tried contacting them via email, you will get the reply in 24-48 hours...at least this is true in my case
I haven't had to deal with them yet, but my AdWords doesn't seem to be working, so hopefully it fixes itself then haha
As an advertiser I've found Google frustrating in the past...then I started advertising with Facebook...blimeyohreilly - they make Google look like geniuses of customer service
its not frustating i think its good they have powers so they are using it check out my new blogger tricks blog
Well thank you for that thoughtful response. I guess we should all abuse our power just because we can .
I'm not having a problem with a Google account right now, I'm just saying that for people that do have a problem it's impossible to get any support from Google itself.
You are absolutely right about the customer service. Google has great technology and terrible customer support. Unfortunately, there is nobody to challenge them in technology and the webmasters doesn't have too many options.
Google are arrogant in the way they deal with the great unwashed because they can afford to be. Moreover, it's probably in their interest not to stoop down to the level of mere mortals: familiarity breeds contempt.
By the way: It's probably a good thing you were rejected because if the way Google handle AdSense accounts is anything to go by, your account would end up disabled for no reason with your commissions stuck in Google's coffers for good.
Leaders who fail to learn from the lessons of history are doomed to get replaced...fairly quickly. Many Greats, who have used monopolistic powers unfairly in the past have failed miserably. Google has a ready example in MS, of what to not do. But even then, it is walking the same path as far as customer support is concerned! To remain at the top, be supportive of the people who helped you reach there..Big G....are you listening?? Regards, RightMan
Agree with you dude, they definitely needs to do some major implementations of humans into there company and maybe getting rid of those auto generated email replies.. However, I LOVE GOOGLE and they are offering the best services available online YET and after all it's still FREE
So far I only had one bad experience with Google, and that was when they disabled their ads on my sites while they were sending me my PIN. After six weeks, it did not arrive, so I emailed them. The response was auto-generated, asking me to scan a government ID and send it as an attachment as a reply to that email. Within 24 hours after I sent my scanned ID, my account was reactivated. Maybe it helped that I sent it on a Monday.
