The End of Yahoos' Site Explorer

For years, Yahoo! Site Explorer has been the primary backlink and competitor analysis tool for webmasters. However, Yahoo! announced that they would be shutting down Site Explorer, ultimately due to the recent merger with Microsoft (Bing).

So, it's sad and losing an old friend.

    Can any tool replace YSE..?

This is neither a new news nor a shocking one.
They had no profit with this tool and this tool used to ate a lot of resources. So, they will loose nothing ;)

If Yahoo is doing this then it is sad news. I mean what is it with Microsoft and all? First they buy Skype and now this? Really this is bad news as Yahoo gave much more details.

ya I really liked yahoo, they were much more open than google on a lot of things, and way more forgiving too.

I am really going to miss YSE. Are there any other good backlink checking tools?

This really sucks. I used their tool against my other tools to make sure everything was on the up and up. What are they trying to accomplish by this move?
