The end of PPC business, and the start of commission/sale based publishing business. 1. First thing needed. Software that can be used for easy template creation which can include all options for an online store. 2. Educated Sellers giving those templates to publishers like us. (We the publishers get paid for each transaction closed from our sites, we the publishers keep the repeated customer business and profits.) 3. The middle guys, Google Adsense, YPN, Chitika ....... gone or soon to be. 4. The product owners will benefit from not having to worry about Click fraud, and dealing with Adwords etc. I think this day will come, as I see it more effective way to do business. If I have a product and the proper templates for an online store I would gladly get these kind of affiliates than Google Adwords. Adwords could still exist so sellers can advertise their products. But we I believe will make more money. So instead of having 50 websites, I could have 50 X 10 = 500 Online stores (at least)! 10 is the number of Google adsense links we normally have on our sites. We we will still have all those links, but they would point to our online stores (well not all ours, but having at least 20% of the proffit). I believe this day will come sooner or later. st12
What about people not selling anything, who just want to advertise a forum or something? I don't see how that would work with the way you're talking about.
Umm it is called CPA, or affiliate marketing, and it is already here. And there are still middlemen taking 30%+ of the cut (CJ, LS, SAS, Az, etc). If your adsense ads are generally showing physical products that people buy, you probably would be better off selling those products directly as an affiliate... so yea, the spirit of the post is actually correct even if it wasn't too clear.
No, it isn't. But if all those adveriteser that advertise on my sites give me the opportunity to sell their products I would go for it. Most of them don't have the financial resources to do it. That's why they use PPC. st12
Have you even investigated affiliate programs? 99.9% of the products that are advertised through Adsense are available for you to sell as an affiliate. If you have a product-driven website, find the right program, and you write decent sales copy, you will almost certainly do better with affiliate programs than PPC. http://www.cj.com/ http://www.shareasale.com/ to start.
PPC business has a long way to go even, with all the misuse. Newspaper advertising is on the way out, but not PPC.
For product driven websites the original post is accurate, but PPC is far from dead. Advertisers are all looking at online exposure now more then ever.
Once we see free television go to an entirely comission based model, we can expect the web to follow... By the way, that will be 3 years after never. Affiliate relationships are by their very nature more involved and complex. This is not the model everyone wants all the time. Especially publishers. While incentive based programs can be extremely effective, not all publishers are going to be interested in taking on the risk of the advertiser for converting eyeballs into sales.
