I told you so. You heard it from me first!~ Hahaha. I told you it was on purpose, to send the remaining editors scurrying for some other pastime before going for the final coup de grace.
But they still are hoping for HOPE. http://www.resource-zone.com/forum/showpost.php?p=230563&postcount=23 Sorry Eric I know your one of the good guys.
After looking at motsa, eric and ... postings, the best way to describe it is; what a bunch of morons.
What happen to the website that were submit during that time frame when it was down? Does these user need to resubmit again because of this black out?
While DMOZ was down nothing could be submitted. If your submission went through it was probably before it went down. If it makes you feel better you could resubmit once to the same category, just to be sure.
It looks like most of the spam and illegal porn sites listed in DMOZ is added by "senior" editors, so removing submission page doesn't help.
Minstrel, what url gave you that error? Did you refresh the page? I know I'm editing and it all works for me.
I have to agree with annie, I'm not having any problems editing or viewing the public side of dmoz.org.
Because bribe offers would flood forums all over the internet? Not to mention conspiracy theories would flourish - is DMOZ run by corrupt few so they banned new listings and editors? Is every new listing in DMOZ paid for? Is DMOZ run by CIA? Is DMOZ run by Bin Laden? Is DMOZ run by alien body snatchers who have take identity of editors they have killed?
