The effects of   on density clouds and seo

    I use this tool to check the keyword density for my site.

    http://www.webconfs.com/keyword-density-checker.php

    It picks up all the "&nbsp" I use to seperate the text spaces. Will this effect my seo in anyway since it is at 20% of what I have one my site and the other keywords are slim in comparison.

    What do you guys think?

    You shouldn't be using   enough for it to make a difference. I use it maybe once or twice per site.

    yeah I think we use it like 20 times or so to create the spaces. Is there a css style command that I can use to create the same type of spacing?

    Take a look at www.worldofgood.com and then look at the source code, we use the &nbsp a lot to add additional spaces to keep things looking clean, I guess I can use embedded tables to create the look but would rather not.

    If you copy paste the contents you are likely to have lot of &nbsp;. You may either use <br> or change css.

    I usually use <br>

    <br> is to insert a break line
    &nbsp is to insert an empty char

    Tables are not the best solution because they will add weight to the code portion of your page. Use CSS for line spacing. For inline spaces use <p> tags and just type them.

    It won't effect your on page SEO in any way. Just because some tool doesn't leave it off their stop list, doesn't mean G/M/Y will factor it adversely.

    It is just a white space, a word delimiter. The engines treat them accordingly.

    Cheers,

    JL

    You are far better spending time at sth else, than tweaking &nbsp;

    thats a pretty neat tool, i ran my site through it and my highest 'keyword' is raquo;

    I tend to agree with what john is saying, can anyone confirm this?
