If you want to drive traffic to your site, you need to take down the stop signs. I suggest marketing it. If you have really useful content that others could benefit from, people will link back to you once they find you. If you have a website as well, you can use that as a means to communicate your blog to others. Another good way is to contact other bloggers/sites that offer relevant content (but are not your competition in business) and ask them if they would link to you. The only way to drive traffic is to market yourself through multiple channels and optimize!
