I noticed something interesting even a site with a rotten seo can be number 1 if the domain name matches
    example
search for paid to click on google the number 1 result is paidtoclick.com

as of such changing domain names might help seo anyone agree?

google only looks at the website content.
domain name, even domain extension is not really important when pushing a domain.

    That's just silly.
Where on earth did you get the idea that Google "only looks at content"?
It looks at content, backlinks, domain name, titles and headers, age of site, location of site - it actually uses 200 factors to establish relevance. http://blog.searchenginewatch.com/blog/060510-123802

And yes, domain name is a strong factor - not only for it's own terms, but also because of the effect of the anchor text for backlinks.
Despite that, I'm not a fan of cramming your keywords clumsily into a domain name. I think - do it if you can get a domain name that matches and is memorable and looks 'comfortable', but sometimes having a memorable 'brand' can be just as important.

How about buying a domain with the keyword name and have it direct traffic to the main site or use a enter here page which will direct to your website?

What I mean is that one domain is not better than the other com, info or cx.
Of course the keyword within the domain-name is an important boost

I believe the url name helps some in seo. But, more importantly, it can help draw people into the site. If I'm looking for jewelry and I see a site that has jewelry in the name in the serps I might be inclined to take a look. Then again, most good company names are branded and have little to do with their product.

I do like to use keywords as file names. Even if it didn't help it keeps my sites organized.

the domain name is VERY important on where you rank. Even if lets say you are trying to rank for a high keyword such as luxury watches then you would want at least the word watch or luxury in your domain keyword because if not then you are going to be trying twice as hard to rank .

The domain does matter, but you can still be first on the search results without a good one (like technorati, yahoo, etc)

yes, i agree. Domain name has some importance, but it's not the end all, be all of SEO.

I'll say that my advice to you is to focus on building the best possible content for your site, update it with some frequency, generously link to other relevant sites, and use some basic search engine SEO tactics

I have a 'brand' that doesn't have the main keyword in the title, am I swimming against the tide?
