is it ture? I can't believe it . a domain is worth so much money.

why? the people buy it how to use it ?

I find it somewhat hard to believe. I can understand the domain name http://slots.com being worth that much because I imagine lots of people spend millions playling slots online.... Cant imagine that many people play s1ots... or would search for it. So I think someone is having you on or you have found a really impressive salesman and I want to hire them!

 

For an enduser it worth that money.

If it is ranked highly and attracts the target market that the person is seeking to attract then they will pay whatever they feel the value of it is, if they want it bad enough.

 

There is a huge difference between the website SLOTS.com and S1OTS.com. One is probably worth in the region of $5-6 million. The other isnt.

 

If sex.com was put on sale for $1,000,000, why would a domain like s1ot.com worth $5,850,000?

As I know sex.com wasn't sold yet, I believe there wasn't that much bidders as the auction's ending day was canceled. The current owner is sill waiting for more offers/bidders

 

Probably the OP has made some mistake between s1ots.com and slots.com. The domain slots.com has a estimated value of $5,640,000, but s1ots.com has a estimated value of only $50. And it's impossible that the domains s1ots.com is valuable soo high, because is a domain registered only at 2010-06-01!!!

By the way, slots.com has been registered at 1995-04-17 And, by the way, slots.com has been sold this year (2010), by the amount of $5,500,000 . Nice deal

 

The owner surely has all the rights to be very greedy... after all, the best selling products on the internet have always been 'money making ideas' and 'sex'!

The domain was slots.com and not s10ts.com, it was sold on domainfest by moniker/snapnames. I'm sure there's enough gamblers in the world to make it worth the $5M+

 

he is purposefully wrote 1 instead of l for slots to avoid some bots crawl

 

just one domain can set ur life free ,i wish i hit a jackpot someday

 

it sounds a bit high compared to what it actually is. We all know how much some domains are worth, but there are much better domains valued less then this. I am a bit sceptical about the prices, but heyy who am I to judge.....
