That was an excellent viewpoint. I agree with you completely. Yes, local sensitivities, culture and rules should be respected. I am with you on this one too. Thats a handsome dog you have there...
It seems that Hindu's don't feel the same way http://afp.google.com/article/ALeqM5gG1WFhskR8VgUJ3o-k3wtJu6Vp5w
When I walk with my dogs (not too far from where I live) on the pavement (sidewalk) & a muslim or group of muslims go by, they dart into the road to avoid the dogs & say exactly what Arnie stated in this thread, they say "no dogs, no dogs" or "dogs!, dogs! dogs!" which makes my dogs bark & the muslims jump further into the road. One day a few years a go i was out with the dogs & the same thing above happened & the muslims nearly got killed by a car, it was funny & it's a pity they didn't get killed with their own foolishness.
mt Iranian friend's father had a dog and had a hard time with the neighborhood. Why is that? The son changed confession abroad. - Cheers
I live in a muslim country and people likes dogs here , dogs have been a long friends to the humanity it is mostly has to be about tradition not religion. Some people don't want dogs inside the house and imo that is better for the dogs, too.
